Lets forget stock markets for a day. Lets Recall!!!
"India won the World Cup" This signifies fame of India at the world stage. The Indian cricketers have really made India feel proud in front of the whole world. Secondly it is the destiny fulfilled by the little master.
Chasing 275 runs against the spin attack of Srilanks was never going to be easy, but responsible innings by Gautam Gambhir & MSD made sure that World Cup Trophy would be in India's hands. The main reason for Srilanka defeat which I feel is the Captain Sanga decision to make 4 changes to the side after team having perfect team combination in quarter finals & semis. Lets analyse that.
If we see all the four changes made by Sanga i.e
1. Kapugedra
2. Randiv
3. Kulasekhra
4. Perara
have not contributed much in their respective deptt with Kapugedra making just 2 or 3 runs, Kulasekhra though scoring runs but went wicketless & gone for beating against Indians batsmen, Randiv bowled 9 overs, went wicketless for 43 runs & finally Perara cant make any special presence felt in the match by his bowling.
So it was our Captai fool MS Dhoni whose mental decisions & his batting has made India win the Cup.
